Terms of Use for UniSplit

Welcome to UniSplit! These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your use of the UniSplit mobile application (the "App") operated by Playneer ("we", "us", or "our"). By downloading, accessing, or using the App, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use the App.

1. Description of Service

UniSplit is a financial utility application designed to help users track shared expenses, calculate splits, and manage group budgets. The App may include features such as manual data entry, AI-powered receipt scanning, and data export.

Disclaimer: UniSplit is an administrative tool, not a bank, payment processor, or financial institution. We do not process actual money transfers between users. Any real-world financial settlements based on the App's calculations are solely the responsibility of the users involved.

2. User Accounts and Data

• You may be required to create an account (e.g., via Google, Apple, or anonymous login) to use certain features. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials.
• Your data is handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy. By using the App, you consent to the collection and use of your data as described therein.

3. Subscriptions and In-App Purchases (PRO Version)

UniSplit offers a free version with limited features (e.g., maximum number of members per trip, ads) and a premium version ("UniSplit PRO") available via auto-renewing subscriptions.

• Payment: Payment will be charged to your Apple ID or Google Play account at confirmation of purchase.
• Auto-Renewal: Subscriptions automatically renew unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
• Cancellation: You can manage and cancel your subscriptions by going to your App Store or Google Play Account Settings after purchase. Deleting the App or deleting your account does NOT automatically cancel your subscription.
• Refunds: All charges are strictly non-refundable, subject to the terms of the respective app stores (Apple or Google).

4. Acceptable Use and User Conduct

You agree not to use the App to:

• Upload or share any unlawful, harmful, defamatory, or abusive content.
• Abuse the AI receipt scanning feature (e.g., systematically uploading non-receipt images).
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our servers, databases, or any part of the App's infrastructure.
• Violate any applicable local, state, national, or international law.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account without notice if we determine you have violated these Terms.

5. License Restrictions

Playneer grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, and revocable license to use the App for your personal, non-commercial purposes. You strictly shall NOT:

• Copy, modify, distribute, sell, or lease any part of our App.
• Reverse-engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code of the App.
• Use the App in any way that could damage, disable, overburden, or impair our services.

6. Intellectual Property

All content, features, and functionality within the App (including but not limited to design, text, graphics, and logos) are the exclusive property of Playneer and are protected by copyright and intellectual property laws.

7. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Playneer shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of profits, data, or goodwill, arising from:

• Your use or inability to use the App.
• Any mathematical inaccuracies or calculation errors within the App.
• Disputes between users regarding shared expenses or settlements.

8. Changes to These Terms

We reserve the right to modify or replace these Terms at any time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Terms on this page and updating the "Last Updated" date. Continued use of the App after any such changes shall constitute your consent to such changes.
